cod liver oil for birds?

someone on another forum was asking if he could give codliver oil to his grey to try and help prevent arthritis when his birds older. his grey had a foot broken i think whilst still in the nest and was concerned about him being affected when older.

does anyone know if this would help at all?

hi a friend of mine used to put a few tablespoons of codliver oil in his birds seed mixture and stir it up so when their having their seed they are indirectly taking their medicine ,what does it do,ive no idea,lol,if their on a good diet fruit,veg etc they dont need anything else.

Nothing wrong with giving cod liver oil, many breeders of  birds give seed mixed with cod liver oil added    not sure if it would help when he is older, june will know


but poor birds, have you tasted how awful it is? lol
